Same issue for me. Meant to get the drawer.... Just finished installing drawer with shelf above (even with closet door bottom edge). Found all the materials at home (leftovers, including paint to match - close enough). 1/2" plywood drawer sides and 1/8" plastic bottom. I cut out 11.5"x4.5" opening to maximize size. Found a 24" full extension bottom center mount drawer slide, works great!
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001Q1FVQK...roduct_details. Have two more shelves prepped, just have to finish support frame (~3/4"x3/4" solid wood pcs, 2 for sides and 3 cross braces. Glue and staple together. Glue and staple into closet space (your selected height levels) with 1/2" plywood shelf material on top. Oh and the drawer front, my neighbor had just finished a bathroom project with this as the maple backsplash. Perfect! Already finished/sealed one side, cut to 12x5 to cover. Looking forward to having the storage for organizing and ease of access!
