People have put in shelves for shoes, plastic bins for trash or recycling, pet food etc.
On our 5.0TA it didn’t have inside access to that area, just an outside hatch which we use as a clothes hamper. Found it holds about weeks worth for the 2 of us easily. No such thing as worthless space, just need more imagination 😎
