Making a note to do that, Jon!

Wouldn't have thought of doing that, thanks!

I never had much luck using those wire baskets with suction pads. I have maybe 3-4 in my basement gathering dust or rather cat litter dust. They seem to stay up while I'm in the trailer but upon return they are on the floor.

Great advice David! Before pickup I saw a similar post from you with this advice and followed it. Now I am less concerned when wanting to mount something as it is very easy to adjust the location with out doing any damage. Thank you for the sage advice.

I may be lucky and then again my luck may soon run out but I mounted one at the Lynden KOA some time around June 24 and the "sucker" is still there. Mounted another one about three weeks ago and so far so good. I will update if the situation changes.

I'm collecting supplies to take to Chilliwack in October and am now looking at Command hooks, as I'd like to camp out on my way back to Texas and suspect that I'll find those Command hooks quite useful. Per David's advice, I don't want to be quick to affix anything permanently, and noticed that you recently purchased your Escape. Do you mind telling me sizes and/or designs you found most useful? Thanks!

I use brushed nickle in 5 and 3 lb. sizes.
I use white plastic for wet environments in the shower.

For initial use I bought 2 sizes with wire loops
Small - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Med - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I also bought extra "refills" of both sizes.
I've mounted two Umbra Cubby Mini Organizers, a clock, a toothpick holder, an Indoor/Outdoor/Refrigerator Thermometer, hooks inside cabinet doors for pot holders, fly swatter, phone charge cords and other items. I've attached velcro to refill strips for some items we want to take down when traveling or need to be refilled or have batteries that will need changing. Nothing has fallen down and when we've decided to move an item "no problem".

Thanks for the useful ideas! (Hadn't even thought of a fly swatter, and heaven knows, we all need one! ) I've added the suggested items to my cart and LOVE the Velcro idea!

Just be careful where you put the Velcro. You may cause damage if removing it.
On that topic, make sure you read and save the instructions for removal of 3M hooks.

And, if you use Velcro, it might be worth looking for the high temperature versions. In my 17 I used it to hold the seat cushion backs to the wall, and after a couple of weeks the glued side came off before the hook side.
Ang Glenn is right - it was tough removing the adhesive from the trailer vinyl. If I remember correctly, Goo Gone seems to have done the trick...

I bought an electronic fly swatter and love it. It's so satisfying to hear that loud crack when it hits that bug that's been pestering you.

Command strip on the wall and velcro on the command strip, you can then remove the item from the velcro to refill or change batteries and if you want to remove or move the velcro you can do that as well without damaging your wall. Works for me.

I've used the electronic fly swatter - my sister's - and that "bzst!" does have a nice ring to it! That said, I found that my aim is actually better with the old-fashioned swatter - which can also hang easily on a tiny command hook

Having read so many horror stories about peeling walls, I'm protective of my walls so appreciate the warning. Perhaps I'll figure out a way to apply Velcro atop a Command base, thereby achieving the desired result. So much to learn and do before October 17th!

Just saw this, Ronn! Settles the issue nicely!

Any item with batteries that will remain semi-permanently affixed.
