Carefree Manual Awning Sunblocker
We were wondering if anyone has used the Carefree Of Colorado Sun Blocker or Sideblocker with their manual awning. We were looking at it for our new 5.0. Pros? Cons?

I have a different brand, but if you've never had one before I'd recommend you get or make a side/end panel, it's a needful thing.

I agree, that's why I just made one for the 21.
We rolled it up with the awning to see if that was feasible. It was but I don't think that I'd travel on the freeway with it like that. No biggie, it slides in and out quite easily.

You need an end panel for that Ron, seems the sun is always at an angle to the side of the trailer.

Yes, I agree, the sun can find its way around. We already had made an end panel with black mesh. We'll probably make a new matching one in blue and use the old one as a fridge area screen when in hot climates. We did that before with the 19 when in hot places. But the fridge in the 21 works so much better so maybe it won't get used much.

We have both a side and front panel. The previous owner sent them with the trailer. The shade makes it feel much cooler and lets the breeze through. We have stand off poles, three, for the front screen. It can be staled or we have three cannonballs, vinyl coated, that can be used where stakes can’t be driven. We love the sunscreens.

We got the front and side ones from Carefree for 2006 19 foot. Front works fine (a bit dark that's what it's there for), but the side one did not fit well. Happy to sell it to you! Used once.
We just hang a spare mat over the horizontal side bar of the awning, but you could use a sheet or blanket.
Cheers
-Ken
