Champion 4500 Watt Generator - Which One?

I am considering buying an Champion 4500 Watt Inverter Generator. Deals seem to be good on units between $650 and $1100. It appears that the height is 20.1" and it should fit under the folding cover on my 2014 Silverado. I would expect to leave it in the truck bed with the cover open to operate most of the time.

Question is: Basic gasoline only with pull start, electric start, gasoline/propane with electric start? I also see a version with oxygen monitor that seems to be just one more thing to go wrong since I would never run it in enclosed spaces. I carried 14 gallons gasoline to Alaska and back in metal gas cans with no problem, so why bother with propane? Luck with Champion? Thoughts?

Plan on a trip to the desert southwest in the fall, so thinking generator would be handy for warm nights.

Don't have any experience with the 4500 but I have used a couple of stackable 2000watt generators. With about 20hours of usage, they worked perfectly but were noisy for inverters. I would skip the electric start and go with pull start. No longer need them since we have plenty of solar and battery capacity. Listed them on Craigslist this weekend to gain some square footage in the garage.

Sorry no experience with the champion brand. But….
At this stage in my life price is less important than performance.
I have a review video someplace comparing generators, I’ll see if I can find it.

I like this persons review of tools, he doesn’t just give opinion. He uses instrumentation to give comparisons.

No kidding. I really liked his approach and use of measurements.

I don't foresee us needing a generator but if we did, it would be between the Honda EU2200i and the Honda EU3200i fuel injected model. If Honda made the EU2200i in a fuel injected model, I would probably snatch on of those.
