Toaster Oven

We are wanting to add a toaster oven in the cabinet under the cooktop. ETI has said they will not run 120V plug to that area so that would be something I would have to do. Has anyone located a toaster there? Any problems with adding one there?

Thanks,
Ryan

My opinion is that I would not locate it there for a couple of reasons.
(1) Toaster ovens emit a lot of heat. Having a toaster oven in an enclosure would be concerning.
(2) Given previous concerns with propane leaks from cooktops, I would not put a high heat electrical resistance device next to propane appliance.

2 cents

Good points. We have a toaster oven in a cabinet at home we use regularly. We also have concrete counter tops above it so heat has never been too big of a deal. I wonder if the cabinet was sealed from the propane and some type of reflective material to keep the heat from affecting the surrounding cabinet.
We had a stove/oven combo in our last camper and using the oven feature pretty much guaranteed whatever we were cooking would be either not cooked or burnt.

We feel comfortable with a toaster up on the counter but I don’t believe I would ever go with one in a cabinet. For breakfast egg bake or other daytime baking I often plug it in to the exterior outlet by the door and cook on a little fold up table outside.
YMMV

Escape just put a video up on YouTube for the virtual rally. They interview owners and their mods. At 28:45 in the video an owner shows their toaster oven (breville air fryer toaster oven combo). Located below cooktop on a sliding tray that brings out

Seems odd ETI said no 120V outlet there. It could be just a liability thing. They do build trailers with a micro there, and a convection / micro there.

I'm another one that carries a toaster oven, but does not use it in a cabinet. When in use it is either on the counter or outside on a table. They do get hot!
