I recently installed the basic tireminder on our 21c. I wanted to share a hint that made it work well. The system comes with an outside relay amplifier that boost the signal of the transmitters and is installed under the trailer between the tow vehicle and the rear axles. I wanted to mount it and power it so it only turned on when the the 7 pin was plugged in to reduce parasitic draws on the battery. Under the tongue on my 21 is a sealed junction box that escape used to distribute the wiring to the running lights among others. I identified the pole which powered up when the running lights are on and used that connection, there was even a spare rubber grommeted knock out to run the wire, I was able to cable tie and Velcro the small unit right above the box to the frame. The unit also has a led that indicates it’s on. So all I have to is make sure my running lights are on to have the booster on, which is something we would do anyway. Seems to work well, leaving June 2 for NC and will test it’s reliability. This has been a year of adding small electronics monitoring and camping aides. Propane monitor is coming tomorrow, I made a Mcguver backup camera, Bluetooth levelmate pro, a dc powered access point in the trailer, and refining my existing McGuver wireless bridge for campgrounds. Pm if anybody wants information on the camera and wireless bridge, they were both less than 100 a piece.
