I purchased the Barker VIP 3000 Power Tongue Jack 18" Stroke. It was an easy install. Removed three anchor bolts from original hand jack. New jack mounts the same with all bolt holes lining up. I then rotated operator head 90 degrees to clear propane tank cover. Then wired positive power lead to battery. Jack is negative grounded to frame with mounting bolts. My TV is a Highlander and the jack clears the hatch.
Good luck. You will love it.

Great information! And you use it on a 19? And the Hatchback door came close? Edit: and it’s that close to the propane cover that it had to be rotated.

Just ordered a Barker VIP 3000 off Amazon. They only had 3 left. I would have researched it a little more but in my experience items get scarce with Covid. I didn’t want regrets by waiting.

I had a Barker on previous trailers, but did have a switch replacement on it.
I just put on a Lippert 3500lb on my 19 and it's been very solid and quieter than the Barker. Time will tell if it holds up well, but I'm pleased so far.

Does that one interfere with the LP cover and have to be rotated? I read the Barkers had switch problems back in 2015 or so. Don’t know if they remedied it.

It didn't cause any issue with my LP tank cover, and it's in the factory orientation. I did see someone on here rotated the Lippert Head, and the holes are there to do it, but they have to be tapped to take the screw.

My reluctance
I stopped at a nearby, old time, small trailer outlet/shop last year in Madison, Wi, "Jerry's", by name. I asked the grizzly fellow wandering among the piles of stuff laying about..."what is the best electric jack". He was honest....and said they all develop problems.
Simplify...simplify, as Thoreau once said. I get it that some folks have the need. But when you marry electronics with a mechanical function...it ain't simple anymore.
When I can't crank anymore, I'll give it up.

We don’t have one but that would be my choice as well. Oliver uses them on their trailers so that’s good enough for me.

Would a battery powered drill operate the cranking action of a manual jack, if the crank handle were modified for the purpose? If so, it might be a good alternative.

I put a RAM EJ-3520-WBX 3500lb ($115 Amazon) on my 19 2 years ago and love it. Very easy install, fits right into the 3 existing bolt holes from the manual jack. Then just run a wire to the battery, which in my case was in the storage box in the front of the trailer.

Thanks for another electric tongue jack option to consider.
