Exclamation Atwood Oven Problem!

We discovered after a bone jarring gravel road trip that the oven pan that the oven ignitor and burner is attached to the bottom of came loose (unscrewed) and fell down inside oven. The gas line feeding the burner seems to be intact and the screws have been located inside the oven. Does anyone have any recommendations or experiences dealing with this issue?

Screw it back in place? It doesn't sound like there is anything stopping you from simply doing that, but maybe I have misunderstood the condition of the parts.

With other threaded fasteners I would suggest thread locking compound (adhesive) to keep the screws from loosening again, but not with sheet metal screws (which these presumably are) and not in an oven (because it is too hot).

The good news is that I've never heard of this happening before, and these ovens are very common. Perhaps the screws just were not properly installed at the Atwood factory.

Thanks for advice.

We were camping with some friends who also have a 19 footer and their oven plate doesn't have screws holding the back against the back wall, but there are holes in the plate and the wall for screws to attach. I didn't find any screws for those two holes as well ( I found 2 for front attachment) and assumed that the back was somehow glued to back wall as I didn't see any welding beads securing it. ... Any recommendations for testing to see if any gas leaks are present with the burner device?

Atwood Oven

Thanks for simple encouragement! I screwed it back, fixed it, and then discovered another screw out of its place in on of my stove burners! DONE
