Keep in mind that if you have a single wide garage door you most likely will have to manipulate some manufacturers large mirrors every time you enter and exit. Might be worth taking a tape measure with you.

They start clearing out their inventory . Also a new Toyota in December . Also got a great deal . The Ford dealer had the new trucks already before the end of year . Pat

Our 2015 F150 has the standard mirrors. Had no problems when towing our classic 19. Only issue was backing into tight spaces as the right side mirror is all convex which makes depth perception difficult. So I got some after market clip on mirrors to solve that problem.

I towed the 19 with a 2015 F150 with standard mirrors, and now with a 2018 with extendable towing mirrors. I like the aesthetics of the stock mirrors, but there is no question that the extended trailer tow mirrors are great for towing. Way more visibility. I can even see vehicles directly behind the trailer - something I could never see with the stock mirrors. As for their extra width Ron, since we're spending your money, just get the power folding and power extending ones.

Very nice Jon! Looks like the platinum white tricoat, 20s and the FX4 package. Easy towing from now on. You'll love the mirrors too.

Regarding engines, do the Ford Ecoboost engines take regular unleaded or is premium gas required?

Fortunately regular unleaded. I've only got one car that takes premium... and it also gets 7mpg. Ouch!

New Tow Rig
You are stylin now John. Gonna give her a name lettered down low on the front fender just behind the tire? I was thinking “ White Lightnin with a lightning bolt underneath for an accent.

Thanks, Donna! I'm researching F150's right now and wasn't sure. Premium requirement would have eliminated that choice for me.

My 2012 says to use premium for heavy or mountain towing, or something to that effect. I've never had premium in it and it's done just fine and I;ve done a good amount of mountains.

I'm using these mirrors with my 2017 F-150 with the standard mirrors and my 5.0 TA: http://a.co/ffXBahL
They definitely improve visibility at a reasonable price.

My understanding, from reading and listening, is that these computerized engines of today are designed to run optimally on a fuel, be it regular or premium, and to try to gain performance by changing fuel, only wastes money.

Those look like a decent and firmly attached add on towing mirror. A great solution for those with standard mirrors.
There are lots that don't use towing mirrors claiming there is no need, but if they actually did try them they would be surprised at how beneficial they really are.
