Cabinet latches
Three of the standard roller catches ETI uses have failed already. The roller portion gets “floppy” and won’t stay where it belongs. I’ve removed them and squeezed the metal part tighter and even hammered the rivet. Obviously this is a temporary fix. Any suggestions for better catches?

We encountered that same problem in the first couple of days of living in ours as we hauled it home. After a call to ETI they shipped us a whole new set of latches. However, we already had bought a bunch at Home Depot, and they seemed better quality. Except that they're silver instead of brown.
We still have the replacement latches that ETI provided. We might try one one days to see if it's better than the originals. I don't have high hopes.

Could just be a bad batch from the manufacturer or a continual downhill slide in the manufacturers QC. I haven’t had a single failure on the cabinet latches on my 2015 5.0 TA and I have towed it approximately 65,000 miles, and have camped in it approximately 480 days, or almost a year and a half total, so the lack of latch failure cannot be attributed to lack of use. Maybe it’s just luck on my part.

That type of latch has been around forever and I've always considered it to be the cheapest of the cheap.
This type of latch actually supports the door and the latching tension can be adjusted.
For some reason on both the 19 and 21 it was the cabinet door under the sink that would open and have the hinges crack. Maybe it was caused by all those thumpity thump concrete roads is CA.

Interesting, haven't seen them before.
We'll expect a field report after a few thousand miles.

That's the style that an Airstream uses, and I have also considered switching mine out. Haven't gotten around to it yet though. The factory ones seem to be getting weaker with use.

I bought about 25 of them from Amazon, and just replace them as they fail.
