Dinette Slide/Track Material for 2018 Escape 19
I am making a new custom dinette table top and I cannot identify the track material used. I would re-use the original but it is liquid nailed in place. Also, I want to keep the original top in the remote chance I will sell camper one day. My internet search came up empty. I even asked a couple of veteran friends that could not identify it. The design of the track is genius. I will attempt to attach a picture. Thank if anyone can tell me what this is and possibly where to find it. Kind regards to all.

While there are lots of slides on the market that could be used, if you wanted to use the same thing I would contact Escape to see if they would sell you a length you need if that is what you wish to use.

When we modified the table for our Escape 21, Tammy brought a length of slides to the Rally at Osoyoos and Bill and Earline picked them up there and brought them back to the Midwest. Then we installed the slides and remounted the table on a Snap2 base. Works well for us. Slides were not expensive at all.

I camped near someone at the fiberglass gathering at Quartzite last February who used a lazy susan under their table; I can't recall if it was in conjunction with the slide or not. Sorry I don't remember the name either, but maybe PatandLinda will recall...they were across the road just on the other side of this trailer. Very nice guy, the name Dave is in my head but who knows if that's right.

It just so happens that I have some I didn't use. I have 2 pcs @ 14" and 2 pcs @ 24",, which should be enough for 1 table. I bought twice what I needed. If you want it send me a pm with your address and you can have it for shipping, whatever that is.
I think I only paid $1 a foot from ETI, & shipping a few years ago.

That must be a new thing at Escape. I reoriented my slides so that the table slid front-to-back rather than side-to-side, but my slides were only attached with screws; no construction adhesive.

Bob, that is very kind and I will take you up on the offer. I'm tent camping at the moment, using a boosted hot spot. When I get settled at destination I'll re-learn how to do PM and get with you on the particulars. Jake

my slides are firmly attached, but the plastic strip that protects the underside of the table from the anchoring screw came loose recently. I live in TX, so was exposed to extreme heat from time to time, and after 2 years came loose. If the slide was mounted with the same adhesive, maybe some heat from a heat gun would loosen it enough to remove?
I want to say, I'm very pleased with how the dinette table functions, sliding from side to side. I know more than a few don't care for it, and have come up with different was to mount the table. I think the way it comes standard from Escape, is great, and I have no desire to modify it. cheers

Woodcrafters
I was in a store yesterday and they had the plastic slide stock. They of course sell on the net.
This winter I made a new top and mounted it on ball bearing drawer slides. Works well, and well tested this Spring & Summer with use.
