Question Drawer always opens when towing

I've been using multiple strips of wide blue tape to keep the drawer from opening. Doesn't always work and wastes a lot of tape.
Is my ONLY solution a kid-lock that you have to pop open every time the drawer is opened?

My drawers have travel locks that once shut, keeps them shut. Stock factory item.

We had one drawer that starting working it's way open. If you take the drawer out and look closely at the metal slides, you can give a little more bend to the metal piece that pinches the rubber when the drawer is pushed closed. This took care of the issue for us.

Thanks! I'll pull it out and check that. Drawer seems designed to not open without lifting up before pulling out. But a bump in the road must be enough to lift it up.

My is an 2013 E19. They have catch latches, 2 per drawer. Like my cabinet doors. On the under side of the face, on the inside of the over hang over the true "face" framing. It does make hard to open. Never had mine open, & been on some rough roads. Maybe missing or got "injured". Need to adjust?

I can't figure out how to get my drawers out. There must be a release on the sliders but all I get is sore fingers pushing this or that on the sliders.

What do they look like? I don't know about other year models. But mine is older(2013) brown slides. At the end of pulling out, lift front up. I think the newer, might full extension slides "Most" have thin plastic pieces(BL? 1 1/2=2" long) on both sides(on the out side), recessed in the center grove. Have to push down or up as you evenly pull out.

Maybe someone with a newer model can clarify the slider situation.

The type used for years works as you say, lift up on the drawer front and pull out.

If they are now using full extension slides there's a small lever on the side that releases the slide.

I got the drawers out. Instead of trying to turn or lift the black lever, I pushed it in and the drawers came right out.
Thanks for focussing me back on the the lever.

Had the same problem with the drawers in our 15A...until I installed Knape & Vogt KV8400 RV drawer slides. They feature a higher spring rate that solved the problem, even when off-road.

We used bungee cords, looped through the handles of the drawers and doors to provide enough control to keep them from opening while traveling. Stashed them away when camped.
