Unless, you like campsites with full sun then solar panels, won't charge your batteries. I'm so glad I only got one solar panel, and a generator. Instead of two solar panels. I don't want to have to park my trailer in the sun. The ideal location for me is a wooded site surrounded by tall trees. When parked at such sites, I checked my solar controller's output from my 190 watt solar panel at the peak of the day (1 p.m. daylight time), it was 0.6 amps (7.2 watts). Solar is great, and I don't regret getting one panel, but, it is certainly not the end all be all that some want to make it out to be.
I don't run the generator for anything, but, charging batteries, less than an hour a day is all it takes.
