Hail damage?

I got up on the roof to install the easy start on my AC. I noticed some dark spots on the roof that look like they were caused by hail. Has anyone seen this kind of damage before? Do I need to repair in some fashion?

Hard to say

You're only 2,000 miles away, and a visual inspection would be best before I pop off with opinions....but.
Is there a surface difference.....the gelcoat removed and the black area lower than the rest of the surface? Are the black spots raised above the trailer shell surface? If so, it's not hail. And the blackness suggests a deposit of some sort. And vertical surfaces are less prone to hail damage, although it happens.
It's not a structural or leakage issue, just a cosmetic issue if you're 10 feet tall and can see the damage.
There are very recent forum posts on gel coat repair. Those could guide you on remediation.
If it was hail, that's pretty big hail you experienced.

We've been in at least two hail events; one two years ago that was hella outside of Gallup, NM. It did perforate our aging awning fabric & waste our crank up vent cover that wasn't original (in place of no AC). No damage to fiberglass.

Hopefully that is some kind of weird sap; have you tried soaking it and scraping with a nylon spatula?

We had very similar looking build-up on our trailer. If you moisten it can you scratch if off with your fingernail or a bit of rigid plastic like a credit card?

Notice the other dark deposits on the vent covers, etc. It may be the same dirt-type stuff. I see your rag is quite dirty so maybe it's an accumulation of dirt.

Ours was a growth/deposit of some kind. We park near a tree so perhaps the tree contributed to the build-up when the trailer was uncovered during past summers. Plus our trailer was covered for 3 years during the pandemic so maybe that was a factor.

The majority of our spots softened up enough while I was waxing so I could scrape them off with my fingernail. The more stubborn ones I didn't worry about.
