Incoming 120VAC

Hello All
I ordered our new E19 without the optional EMS. I did purchase a Progressive Industries HW30C that I plan to install myself. I have the optional removable AC cord on the trailer. What I need is a sanity check, it located the stock wiring (reddish orange) that only looks like a two conductor 10 gauge Siamese type cable. I plan to install the EMS under the settee. I have not cut the wire(s) yet. Where is the ground wire?
Im brand new to Travel Trailers but I would think that a separate ground wire from the power distribution panel back to the source (grid) would be appropriate. I have not torn things apart to trace cables other than locating the 120VAC in the bundle of wires. Any help would be appreciated.

You just need to cut into that 10 gauge orange that you found. It has your hot, neutral and ground like any normal 120V AC wire. Here is a post with some pics of my install that might help. Make sure you put the current sensor on the hot wire on the leaving side as per the instructions or your amps won’t read. The ground wires go on the studs on the inside of the case as shown.

I added an EMS to my 2022 E19 and mounted it vertically to the outboard dinette frame with a bit of reinforcement. It was a bit "tight" getting the EMS hooked up like that with the minimal slack in the orange main.

CAREFUL with EMS mounting screw length for either black tank top enclosure or the way I did it.

If you have a solar controller screwed to the top of your black tank enclosure, I had enough slack in the wires to move it to a vertical mounted position on the dinette seat inboard. Really opened up that space for storage.

First pic is after EMS install with the solar controller in the as delivered location. (Ignore the EMS display taped to the top of the black tank that pic - that was temp.)

I recommend putting some kind of barrier between that water line and your electrical components. I have a lot of experience with fluids and electricity in close proximity and can relate many sad stories that involve replacing electrical components. I wish ETI would do that as part of their build.

I agree. At least it appears that the newer trailers have rigid piping through the bath wall. If you look at my thread linked above the older trailers transitioned to a flexible line right at the shutoff valve. This was originally an odd, metal clad semi-flexible line that started to leak one day when I was pulling some wires. Luckily I heard it. Since replaced with a stainless steel braided line shown and have had no issues but I would really prefer that line not be under the dinette with electrical components.
