MaxFan controller replacement
Had 2 MaxFan control boards (original and expensive replacement) fail in 3 years. Were out of warranty. Both boards had the coating.
Replaced the controller as shown in attached. Part costs, all via Amazon:
PWM Controller = $14
On-Off SPST latching, SS, blue light 10A = $13
In-out DPDT latching, SS, reverse polarity 10A = $11
ATC fuse holder = $7
plus wiring and connectors. Reused the wires to the motor from old board.
The fan speed varies as you want rather than the fixed MaxFan controller speeds. It is super quiet. The enclosed controller board fits behind the panel above the speed knob. Controller has 9-60VDC input, which should handle the higher LiFePO charging voltages.
Many use this 20A controller for 24V trolling motors.
Hope this will last for a while.
