Replacement Propane Detector

Hello. Our 17B is now 6+ years old and we'd like to replace the propane detector. Apparently the Atwood model (31013) that was installed is no longer made. Does anyone know of a suitable replacement that might be easily installed in the same location as the original? If you do, I'd love to hear from you.

This is an exact replacement for our 2015 propane detector.

Or maybe kick in a few bucks more and get the combo carbon monoxide / LP-propane detector. Same exact dimensions as our original recently-replaced MTI 2015 LP-propane-only detector that looks just like the one in alanmalk's Amazon link. Not sure about the OP having an Atwood unit; would think that Escape would have used the same detectors across the board during that time period. Looks like the Atwood has a big faceplate so maybe the MTI would leave big gaps if used.

my escape has a smoke/co detector over the bed. I kinda thought CO rose, so the detector should be high, but propane sinks, so it should be low ?

the CO Smoke detector is one of these

CO is distributed evenly, which is why the CO detector should be about 3' off the floor, or at nose level when you are asleep in your bed for early detection.

Propane is heavier than air, which is why that detector should be at floor level. Smoke rises. That's why I prefer separate detectors.
They all come with installation instructions.

propane detector 17B

I wound up getting the "RV Safe alarm" universal CO/Propane gas alarm. It came with mounting brackets (bezels?) that made easy to use the original hole and have it look finished. It's actually a flush mount. It is model no. RVCOLP-2B and I got it from e-trailer. E-trailer's site recommended it as a replacement for the discontinued Atwood unit. Thanks for everyone's input.
