RV covers.

Does anyone have experience with RV covers? I see them advertised on ebay, but don't know about materials (breathable, good uv protection, life expectancy, wear on the gel coat, etc.) Live in a snow belt Kimberley B.C. and will be storing our new 17b in the open. Any advice would be appreciated.

You can buy it right and spend the money, or you can buy and buy and buy and buy....

We have the Calmark and really like it. Our trailer is stored outside and it makes a major difference for cleaning in the Spring - so much easier.

We bought ours at Escape.
We just covered our 17b today. Takes about 20 min. We cover the solar panel with high density foam to soften any sharp edges.
if you get wind in your area, be sure you tie the underside.

I have a CalMark cover and like it a lot. The zippered door access is a big help. While I use the straps, I've found that using the cinch rope around the bottom causes water to collect in the pockets that get formed, so I don't tighten it around the bottom that way. It "billows" a little in the wind, but I figure that's actually a good thing. I use foam insulation ((3/4" size) around the solar panels sharp edges. The panel maintains a charge through the cover.

I just tie "quick links" to 4 separate lengths of light cord and hook them to the "D rings" at the covers bottom. It got so windy one time that the cover blew off. I've been using the quick links method ever since. It's not tight. It "billows" now in the wind.
