Tensioning the retractable screen door on a 2015 Escape

Well, our dog ran through the screen again and it no longer will retract. We have taken it apart and have tried to follow the directions provided by Seiki Screens, but they are a Japanese company and it appears the instructions were not written by someone familiar with the terms "rotate clockwise or counter clockwise". We have everything put together properly but no tension so we cannot open or close the screen to use it as it is designed.
Has anyone out there had success getting these screen doors to work once they have been disrupted by dogs?

IIRC-You have to turn that dial at the floor 25 times if you did not tension it prior to install. Get a flatblade(or your thumb get pretty sore) and just take your time pushing the dial towards the back of the trailer. Good luck.

I’ve replaced mine twice due to exuberant dogs and yes, the 25 times mentioned above works just fine.

Yes...the screen door is fixed!!! It really helped to have the instructions to rotate the tension dial AT THE FLOOR, 25 times, TOWARDS THE BACK OF THE TRAILER.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Escape owners are THE best:-)

For future reference...”A” is the top of the screen which is rarely touched. “B” is at the bottom which is the tension adjustment

Many thank you's for this visual aid! That was the missing piece from the instructions we have from Seiki Screens. I have copied your information and it is now in our manual:-)
Hugs!

No problem. It comes from the install manual on the Seiki website which if I recall correctly is not anything like the instructions one receives with a replacement Vista Plus screen. Most of this info is for a new assembly install but the adjustment info is vital!

That's right; those instructions are a joke and nice to know there are better instructions for a little bit different model of screen that is still similar enough to be relevant.

I have my 2nd replacement still in the box now for a couple of months. Can you tell I'm not too anxious to do this again? It's not that bad really, cutting it cleanly down to proper length to me is the trickiest part.

We searched online for the install manual, but when we tried to print it out...much of the info and all of the pictures didn't print:-( Oh well, your picture solves all of our issues and everyone here is beyond happy! Guess we will go out on the next adventure in a few days...the Oregon Coast is calling us.

Just a note to add:
I believe the top dial is the limiter that keeps the screen from extending too far. Not something that needs adjusting that I can tell. Perhaps others can confirm this.
