It's apparently a bad PCB based on the char marks running up the inside bezel. They're sending me a replacement. Say, do people have model 5100 or 5100K here? I wonder if this is an aftermarket or...

It is the PCB!

I unscrewed the four screws on the outer bezel and looked inside and there was a scorch mark on the inside of the bezel near the printed circuit board. The PCB itself had some char marks on it and it...

My Maxxvent fan just beeps

My fan won't turn, and I only get single beeps when I press keys on the fan body control panel. One will give me a series of 3 beeps, but the fan remains motionless. The manual is not very helpful...
