My hobby is making adaptive devices for disabled folks.

We just did a mod to stairs that basically added interim half steps. The smaller rise in this case worked well.

Do you have a photo of it?


What I've done before is use a larger platform lengthwise (the corgis do better with that) but all the ones I've found with railings are too tall. Adding a lower regular step helps me but they won't like it. But I think this trip I'll take the exercise platform step I've used at times (about 4 inches) and see how that works. That's what I used to do with the lifted 15.

This also comes in a two step.

I've looked at a bunch like that but don't like the bottom step on most or they are too heavy or too tall. Those are too tall (opening is at 18"*The two step version looks like it just has two shorter steps and is still too tall. I like the wider top platform though.
