I just ordered the same one for our 19 this morning. I figure if I get 3 or 4 years out of it, then it was money well spent. I have someone coming to the house to wax ours this weekend, and then I'll put the cover on it

Seems early to be covering it now, no more camping trips this year?

We've got at least two more trips planned when the weather cools down. But I thought the purpose of covering it now would be to keep the sun off of it. Or are you only supposed to cover it once you're done for the year?

I guess it depends on how easy it is to cover, I covered mine once and the effort to cover and uncover made it too cumbersome so I sold the cover with the trailer, 5 years ago. My logic is if it is easier to just hook up and go I'm more apt to do that. Now if I had a permanent cover, that would be ideal.....

I guess I'll find out after the first time. We considered a permanent cover, but as we only plan on spending another 5 years or so in this house, did not want to spend that kind of money. We will build permanent storage at our next, final home.

Ron, what sized ADCO did you get for your 19'? Mine has an air conditioner, solar panel and TV antenna on the roof.

I'm thinking about ordering this cover.
ADCO 52239 Designer Series Gray SFS AquaShed cover.
Anyone have any experience with this particular Adco? My 19 will be available for pick up early next month and thinking this may be my best bet for the climate here on Vancouver Island.
Or course, my first choice would be the Calmark, but seems near impossible for us north of the border. (Someone needs to start selling them up here in Canada.)

They've changed the look and names of them over the years so I can't be positive but I got 6-7 years out of the one with the Tyvek roof, 1-2 years out of the cheaper non Tyvek. The one you have chosen is non Tyvek.

So many to choose from, it’s almost confusing, I’ll check out the higher end one. Would like to get more than a couple years and ultimately protect the trailer.
What would be the next best cover to the Calmark? Would like to get one for under 7-800ish.

I was happy with the better of the ADCO's but went with the Calmark after the cheap ADCO fell apart. Don't know if the Calmark was worth double the price, it is certainly more heavy duty. Will have to wait 10 more years to see how it holds up.
For all of these you have to be careful of sharp corners and do what you can to limit billowing in the wind.
There are other brands out there, but they are pretty much the same as either the Calmark or the ADCO's, just pick your price point.
Other then price, the only downsides I have with the Calmark is it is heavier and bulkier to man handle around then the lower cost ones, as one should expect. A cover for the 19 should be easier to work with then the ones for the fifth wheels, which may make this a moot point.

I use a Calmark on my 19' and it is a bit of work to get it on over the various vents. I only use it over winter. With a step ladder set up on either side and my wife's help, I start at the back and go from side to side working it over the roof obstacles. Getting it off is much easier and I can handle it solo.
Regardless of the effort, I think it is a great cover and am glad we have it. I particularly like that there is access to the door while the cover is on. It keeps all the mold and debris from growing on the trailer in these wet northwest winters.

We also have the Calmark cover . Already went through Adco and Classic covers and some others ,here with the UV's ,destroyed in 1-2 years on previous RV's . Yes it is expensive and heavy but cover is still in great shape over 3 years now . Could add up all the money we have spent on other covers and the Calmark doesn't seem so expensive . Pat

I have a feeling that with delivery to Canada, exchange rate, duty and brokerage fees, it could potentially land in the 1500+ range. And if there ended up being a shipping mistake or damage en route, return might be difficult. Could be a very expensive cover. Of course, this is worse case scenario.

My sister lives on Orcas Island and I visit her often. If you wanted to mail it to me, then walk on the Sydney / Anacortes ferry we could meet in Anacortes for the exchange. Passenger walk on fare round trip is $39.70 US. PM me if interested.
