8555 blue light questions
On the road with brand new 21 and have noticed that the blue light on the exterior of the door is sometime on sometime off,. Is this normal and what does it mean? It appears to happen on both gas and electric.
So far cooling is good at night but warms up into low 40's driving (on gas)

That's about the norm.
My blue light, as in whichever mode is selected, is always on.

I must be lucky. Mine stays at 33-degrees ehen driving on gas. It never got warmer than 35 degrees when I was in 100 plus temps in Monument Valley with refrigerator side of trailer positioned away from the sun.

When towing, make sure the trailer's windows and vents are shut. This really helps keep the fridge temperature down. When parked I use the Maxxfan on "intake" instead of "exhaust" for the same reason. YMMV.

The lights on the inside that show what mode it is running on and other settings are always on. It is the blue light by the door handle on the exterior that goes off sometime on the road. I suspected the gas blew out and let the interior get hotter. After we stop for a while and have it on 120v, the blue light gradually comes back on.. It almost seems like the blue light comes back on and gets brighter as the unit cools.

I don't understand. How does the direction of the Maxxfan flow affect the fridge operation?

Presently parked, temp 85 degrees with some wind. Fridge temp is 47 degrees running on 120v.
To me that is not an acceptable number.

If the Maxx fan is on exhaust and there are not enough windows open to keep the trailer from being in a negative pressure it has been found that it will suck the cooling out of the fridge primarily thru the door latch.

Agreed. Something is wrong. The blue light should not be going off. Sounds like you are losing 12 volt to the fridge as the control is run by 12 volt regardless of what power source you have it on. Check the connections in the outside vent area if you can see them.

I should add that the A/C is on and the inside of the trailer is 75 degrees.

The control panel (blue light) runs on 12 volt regardless of what power source is chosen for cooling.
