Battery Disconnect Switch

Quick question... 2021 Escape 19. Does the Battery Disconnect Switch cut power to and from battery? Needs to be "OFF" when reinstalling batteries, correct?

It cuts off the power from the main charger going to the batteries and at the same time it cuts off power from the batteries to the trailer. It does not cut off any solar charging.

Does not need to be in OFF if you absolutely never make any mistakes when playing with the batteries. For the solar, just toss a blanket over your panel to turn it off (or work with a flashlight after dark).

Thanks! I guess that is why folks opt to install a solar panel breaker/switch. No need for the blanket, or the flashlight for that matter...
