We were part of a three Casita tour of AK in 2018. We spent four months doing the journey from the deep South. We found Church's book to be well worth its price. The Milepost, not so much. We had no reservations other than Denali, and no problems finding three spots everywhere we wanted back then. No rv parks or commercial cg's were used.
Based on the occupancy of the provincial and state parks back in 2018, I would be concerned with having to get sites for a larger group of trailers. Even back then the parks filled up by nightfall.
And though there are a million of places to park overnight, few are large enough for more than a couple or three rigs. If you plan to caravan, it may be best to make plans with commercial campgrounds.

You're the second person to mention Church's. I've just ordered it and will get it in about a week.
I have no clue how many want to go on this excursion. All we can do is kinda plan and then May 2024, firm up the route and camping decisions. As far as boondocking, we may need to stretch out a bit, but as long as we stay in groups, where no one is alone, it will work out.

Donna,
We have been planning dto do this after I retire (12/1/2024) so this will be a perfect time.
Count us in! Are you going to be keeping a spreadsheet of the "attendees"?

I'll post the interested attendees list after the first of the year. Even with hundreds of views here at the EscapeForum and in the Escape Facebook group, there's currently 9 trailers who seem to be the most interested. I say 'trailers' because some are couples and others are singles.

We are interested in a group trip to AK too. Seems like there is some reading to do first. We have a 2022 5.0 and a 2015 Silverado. Perhaps we need a new truck first! We may have 200,000 miles on the truck by summer 2025.

We could join you once you cross into Canada from Blaine. We haven't done a group tour yet but certainly enjoyed both the Escape Rallies we went to because of the attendees.
Please add us as well.

My wife and I were considering traveling through Alaska with another couple in 2025. We might be interested in joining, at least for some of the trip. Question: our friends have an A-Liner (17ft rigid pop-up). Would that be allowed? No worries if not.

Of course your friends would be welcome. They'd probably wish they had an all-molded towable by the end of the trip with all the up and down they'll need to do with their trailer.

I’m very interested, but husband is not too sure. I’ll be watching the planning develop and then go from there. Very fun ideas so far and its early!

Oh Donna,
Now you've done it. Best wishes in wrangling a herd of feral Escapees to Alaska. But you do have time in your favor.

Since 2005, I've organized 35 NOGs. My work experience was in Project Management, managing million dollar projects. I'm pretty good at herding cats. Be respectful, treat people as adults and no hand holding or baby sitting

What would she do after noon on Wednesday? Probably head out for “field testing”.

Yep, if Donna were willing to come out of retirement, I bet she could do wonders for ETI's production quality, efficiency, and profitability. Tough commute from Portland, though.

Looks like this is going to be a busy thread. I drove the Alcan in 1958. All dirt and gravel and rough as h___!
If I did something like this it would be a spur of the moment type of decision. Show up and say 'Where do I go'.
At my age, I only make spur of the moment decisions.

Those attributes would qualify for a Battalion command in my previous world.
