I wish we had those prices in California right now try over 6.00 for diesel. I guess with these prices there is one plus, it will keep travelers away and us locals can camp local again!

Karl has said a number of times in the Q&A sessions the cost of delivery is a straight pass thru. ETI makes no money off the delivery charges it all goes to the delivery company.

And...................?

Still an entry barrier / cost.

I wasn't "bad mouthing" ETI., or saying it was their fault. It just "is".

Wonder if they have ever thought of rail? It would take a bit of "specialty" equipment at both ends.................but with auto / rail shipments way down - wonder if they could repurpose some auto related train cars / sidings?

Those common sense days are over, government regulations are needed to ensure unions and government workers get their cheddar…if all else fails they will blame covid or Russia for increased cost.
Here’s a thought, is China taking advantage of the current situation and purposely creating product shortages to ultimately increase their profits. It’s amazing what’s happening to cost of things and some are just not available as no one makes them here. It was once said, never let a crisis go to waste.

I don't think ETI even considered rail until this huge price increase in shipping by truck. I'm not convinced they should be looking at rail for cost savings but who knows. My delivery went from $3800 to $4600 or so....

If you got the time make a trip out of It. At least you get some enjoyment out it. You could also meet 1/2 way . Back in 2020 I had mine delivered to Wyoming. took a days off my trip and back then gas was cheap.

Regular unleaded where I am is over $5 gallon. I also heard that Cummins will be working on creating a GAS (as in “not diesel”) engine. I think diesel’s on its way out, maybe…

I read about some young women in Africa who modified a generator to run on urine. They say it'll generate power for 6 hours on one liter. Maybe we need a truck engine that'll run on similar fuel. With the right collection/hose setup, it could eliminate most potty break stops.

FYI from quick google search (note dateline is Nov 8, 2012): Forbes - Teens Create A Way To Use Urine As Fuel

An excerpt clipped from the Forbes article ....
"Here's how the urine-powered generator works, as explained by the blog on the makerfaireafrica.com website:

• Urine is put into an electrolytic cell, which separates out the hydrogen.

• The hydrogen goes into a water filter for purification, and then into a gas cylinder, which looks similar to the kind used for outdoor barbecue grills.

• The gas cylinder pushes the filtered hydrogen into another cylinder that contains liquid borax, in order to remove moisture from the gas. Borax is a natural mineral, commonly used in laundry detergent.

• The hydrogen is pushed into a power generator in the final step of the process.

A big drawback is that hydrogen poses an explosion risk. But the girls used one-way valves throughout the device as a safety measure."

I'm not commenting on any of this, just posting FYI. Nope, I've no idea what any of this has to do with ETI delivery.

Looks like the Mid-Atlantic price has gone up $500 to $4800. I see they've added some verbage to the delivery page about being able to raise prices without notice. I hope that does not apply to those of us that have already signed their build sheets. I would not be happy for my final price on the trailer to have increased _after_ signing the contract.
