The Clovers had the hit with this song. 1954.
“All I had was a Buffalo”. Stand up base holding it all together.
Takes cash and a lot of it these days to even go to the grocery store. Or pay off the plastic every month.

Cash, meaning bills, in that amount is a problem. Risk and large transactions being the main problem. A cashiers check, money order, or a certified check and I will laugh at you. They are easily faked. The only safe method to sell a trailer is to demand a wire transfer. It guarantees delivery of the money.

I recently sold a 3rd car that I had and I stipulated in my ad that the only way a cashiers check could be used as payment is if I was present in their banking institution to see the check cut and have it handed directly to me. The buyer chose to pay me $10k in cash. I had him meet me in the lobby of my bank and we deposited the cash as I signed over the title. I told him it was for his safety, but it was also for my piece of mind.

Having sold 4 prior Escapes, I'll take a cashiers or even a bank check with the caveat that title will not be released until funds are transferred. Works fine for me.....

cashiers check
I have been known to call the bank that issued the check to confirm it is good.
