That hasn't been our experience. Maybe it's because my wife and I tend to pick different food items and rarely eat identical meals when traveling. We've had situations when one of us was deathly ill and totally dependent on the other. Then the situation reverses. Oh, the joy of travel sometimes.
When I go to a restaurant washroom and see that there's no hot water or soap I sort of start loosing my appetite, wondering how clean the employees hands are that's preparing my food.

I know a lot of people like to eat in restaurants when they travel. For the most part, I do not. I'm not a germophobe, but we often don't hear about food-borne illness outside a fairly small area. So, if you ate lettuce in a restaurant and then traveled several states away, you might not know there was an alert about e-coli or hepatitis outbreak. And yes, I do realize the chances are fairly small. YMMV

I don't want to belabor the foodborne illness thing but it's not as simple at "I got sick so it's the last thing/place I ate". The rule of thumb in food protection circles is, two or more people getting sick after eating a common food. One sick person does not make a foodborne illness outbreak unless supported by laboratory analysis and even then it may not reveal the source unless perhaps the analysis is done by a forensic pathologist.

We made it! Arrived in Chilliwack this afternoon, stopped by ETI for a while to chat with Linda and take care of a few things before our orientation tomorrow morning. What a relief to be here....now we just have to make it through tonight, counting the hours until we get to finally see our new 5.0TA.
And Jim, I hope to soon have a special photo of your new baby for you too...

No worries....rain every day for the past week, and for most of the week ahead...but sunny tomorrow when we pick up our trailer, we must be living right!

Ta-daaaaa! I'm reliving the thrill of mine last May. Enjoy Lynden....the folks there were stellar. I unloaded my car top carrier and spent quite a while arranging and rearranging on a holiday weekend and made trips to target and home depot etc. Second stage fun!

At the KOA in Lynden, rain expected all day today...beautiful place though. Need to head south tomorrow and now see that the forecast is for snow on Snoqualmie pass next few days...sigh.

How is the cat liking it's new home away from home, or did you not bring it?

Cats are still at home...this would not have been a fun trip for them.
