The
Nautilus panel includes five valves which replace the winterizing valve and water heater bypass of a typical Escape, plus adds capabilities which would be nice to have (fill from pressurized water hose, sanitize or tank fill from container, and black tank flush using a separate water connection); that's not terribly complex compared to the stock Escape, and it's not at all more complex than an Escape with those additional capabilities added separately.
The panel looks complex because it also includes other features which are in an Escape, but scattered about in separate fittings in several locations:
- outside "shower" faucet
- city water connection
- pump switch
- TV cable connections (3)
I don't think it makes sense for an RV which already has the features of an Escape, but if building a system from scratch this might be a good consolidated panel.
I also wouldn't want it on the outside of a trailer. It is more suitable for mounting behind an access door, and is typical of service panels found inside a service compartment of a large RV.
