Caulk dries and often shrinks so, if it is not maintained, the clam of a leakproof fiberglass shell doesn’t really hold water, so to speak.

All trailers have those items. But stickies have many seams and possible points of water ingress that a one piece f.g. shell doesn't. I think that it's a reasonable statement.

I was thinking of the several posts about leaks where new buyers were astounded that water got into their FG trailer. The blanket statement that it is leakproof (without caveats that are understood by experienced FG owners) likely contributes to the shock and dismay when water gets through at a vent or light.

The .270 spoke and spit lead and smoke and 17 inches of flame. Killed in the fall and for over ten years now, hanging on the wall. Ontario.

Looking back at past long lived threads, I wonder what type of peanut butter the bear likes?

They prefer strawberry preserves but otherwise creamy Jif or Skippy. Nothing fancy. Honey from my friend Red O’Hearn in SW Iowa. Cold pancakes with maple or corn syrup on them are good too. They can smell a meal from a very long distance. A half a mile is nothing to them.

LOL, it is a commercial with some cheesy, quirky humor. I liked it. If I didn’t already know about Escape Travel Trailers, I would watch the commercial, chuckle, then go to their website for some real information. It worked!

OMG. Un-bear-able-couldn't finish watching.
Em-bear-assingly stupid. Lived, backpacked and trailer camped in bear country most of my 70 years. Truly embarassingly stupid of Escape to release something this bad.

Everyone should be cheering that the commercial brings in new customers whether you like the commercial or not. ETI needs some buyers to stay in business. If they have to shut down because of lack of business we all will suffer and the value of our trailers will probably take a hit.

Don't know if the commercial will do all that you're hoping.
Seems to me the commercial is aimed at low class to no class folks. Not sure that they're likely Escape buyers.

The prices we saw in the past few years on 40 year old bolers, long since out of
production.are the kind of “Depreciation” one can only dream about. Discriminatory pricing for Americans did not lessen the demand and there’s still a waiting list after price increases, changes in repair and rework policy ( some since reversed) inflexibility with storage etc. that didn’t kill the marker either. The secret is target audience as I said before and with the baby boom buyers dying off every day the market in my opinion would be upwardly mobile folks with a sense of what’s really neat to camp in, economical to tow compared to the behemoth 5th wheels coming apart out of Elkhart, and family friendly for today’s shrinking average family size. If you have an Escape and have frequented public campgrounds, think about
The folks who walked up and asked to see you trailer. Did they seem like the kind of folks who would be sold a 50 or 60 thousand dollar camper by a gotch eyed bear?
