It's Glenn, not Glen. And, ignore sends you notifications that you are ignoring a post, like this one.

Note: if you want to talk about the quality of the trailer, or the lack thereof, no moderator will stop you. You'll only have an issue if the criticism of the quality turns into something more severe, such as a personal attack. Even then, we try to moderate with as light a hand as possible. What will be automatically deleted however, is to criticize moderator actions and impugn our character and fairness. This violates forum rules.
Moderating is not as easy as it looks, trust me. There are numerous competing factions and points of view, and it can be a challenge. We strive for fairness, but within the rules of the forum that we promised to enforce.
Because it violates forum rules, I've removed a post whose sole purpose was to criticize the actions of the moderators.
Lastly, if you think you can do an effective and fair job of moderating, by all means volunteer to the site admin. We do have an occasional opening, and can always use a fair minded and even tempered person to contribute. Thanks.

I know we don't have to read a post but it's like a 'Wet Paint' sign to me. I just gotta touch it!
I was a bit surprised the first time I 'Ignored'; someone that the post notification was there just no content.

Thank you very much, RangerMan and Donna D! I did not know of the Ignore List feature. Glad to find it out.

And then you have to "unignore" it to satisfy your curiosity.

Personally I find Glenn’s humor and wit quite refreshing and “ the ignorers “not so much. Like is too short not to have a sense of humor. I also have found him to be a valuable source of Escape experience.
He stays in my not ignore list.

I so totally agree…sometimes he has irritated me on his response to my post but I’m a tuff bird. I also enjoy his sometimes off humor and yes his great Escape advice. So Glenn thanks for the humor, great Trailer insight and o by the way sometimes you are wrong

Of course, what anyone finds humorous and refreshing is their personal choice. When it turns into offensive attacks on others - that’s a different matter. Whether you chose to see it or not, the effect is turning members off this forum and unreasonably so, and I fail to find humor in that.
Anyway, to everyone his/her own.

I appreciate those that support me. I really do.
But KAVM, would you please provide an example of an offensive attack on others?

The fact that you have to ask that question suggests strongly that anyone who takes the time to answer it is likely to be wasting their time.

I'm not expecting a response because I've not called anyone names.

Here’s one, not an example of name calling, but I’d say it’s more of an arrogant condescending attack, waiting to pounce.
I’ve never found put down jokers humorous, but there are some that do.
You asked…

Alright enough already. This has gone down the rabbit hole and FAR away from the focus of the thread.
Have issues with quality... good or bad? Feel free to post.
I like you, I ignore you, you're funny, you're not funny. What is sarcasm? These types of posts going forward are going to be deleted from this thread.

Bborzell, (hi, neighbor) thanks for such a thorough and thoughtful post.
Also appreciation for Iowa Dave, Rossue, JeffreyG, kavm. Jeffrey’s post on design/build quality targeted something I hadn’t thought of before.
Just last week, a person from the AFRAME forum whom I’ve camped with asked me privately if I would buy an Escape again. She’s considering a 21 and there’s at least a two year wait, she said.
I said Yes, BUT….I’d endeavor to (border permitting) pick up in person, and camp nearby for a few days for an evaluation of all systems while I was near enough to return to the factory for assistance if there were any issues. And I also recommended searching for a used Escape, both to get an “owner tested” trailer, and to avoid the wait.

I am happy that people post issues with their trailer so they can get help and advice. When my window issue came up it was helpful to me to read previous posts. What i often disagree with is the broad assumption that just because some people have had issues with their individual trailers it means the quality of Escape trailers is crappy. Most of my issues have been user error and solved by my friends advice on this forum, reading my manual, or calling Escape. I have had one quality issue that was fixed free of charge by Escape. I am very happy with the quality of my trailer and would buy another one or refer my friends and family.
