I'm looking for a small fold up step to making reaching that 1st step up in our new Waxed, Scratched and Repaired 21C a bit easier on my knees. Any good ideas?

Have a 1/2 price COE Campground camping trip coming up the 1st week in May.

I have one of these and I really like it. Each leg is adjustable, so if the ground is uneven, I can make the step even. It adjusts from about 2" to 9" in height.

Mine came with my "used" rig. Stable, robust, adjustable, a good step height.

Hi, Willy. We have a plastic folding step like this one (think we got it at Camping World or some other camp supply store):



I like the step Donna suggested better though. Might have to upgrade to that one, or a similar step from GarfatolRV that has two glow in the dark tape strips on the tread. That one is on Amazon too ($48usd for small/$64usd for large).

The Camco is pricey. On the ol' Amazons I saw one similar for $39'ish but wasn't sure.

Maybe I'll give it another look.

It is pricey. I bought mine in 2014 and paid even MORE for it. I bought it for my Mom to use as she had a hard time getting into my 4x4 truck, even with the running boards. She's gone now, but I really like the step for Ten Forward. The nice thing, it's a one and done. I'll have it forever, unless I leave it behind somewhere.

Yup, my friend has one. He picked it up from where the back end of a camper had been parked the night before.

Always good to do that final walk around before pulling out.

We have this one also. It’s very stable and the adjustable legs have come in handy many times. It’s pricey but you get what you pay for.

Yes they are pricey but I have had mine for probably 15 years and it is still in great shape....will the plastic ones last that long? Very stable and relatively light and it keeps the trash can from sliding around when we put it just inside the door for travel.

Yes, that’s the brand I mentioned in my post earlier. Please update us to let us know what you think of it. We like the glow in the dark strips.

We’ve had one like the Camco for the past 19 years. It’s held up well, as others here have found out.

We bought one like in your picture and it lasted three years before it broke. We left it in the sun at our seasonal camp site. We’re on our second one and it’s already starting to degrade, but it now doesn’t sit outside, but still it’s just plastic. We only use it for grabbing items from the front and sides of the truck box.

In this case we got what we paid for, 19 years and running for the aluminum step, but only 3 years for the cheap plastic.

It was packaged very securely and appears to be a good solid step. So far, it looks like a wise purchase.

I have the Camco step I paid $70 for on Amazon over 5 years ago. its rated for 1000 lbs and has held up very well. only complaint (minor) is that when its been left outside setup most of its life, its hard to adjust the leg height, but I normally leave all 4 legs fully extended so no biggie. once or twice, we were setup on a slope, where I wanted to level the step. When we travel, I just put it inside the door as-is, i don't even fold the legs.

Looks identical to the one we purchased 19 years ago, except yours has a carry handle.

When we were at Capital Reef a couple of weeks ago our jack was nearly on the ground in front and the rear of the camper was about 30" off the ground, with the door entrance step nearly hitting the ground. We needed one lego pack for one leveling leg and used the step for the other leg. Another use for the step.

After 19 years the step looks a little worn, but still works perfectly.
