All CAT Scales have a 'segmented platform' which means when you place a vehicle alone on the platform you get the front axle weight, the rear axle weight, and the total weight all at once; when you place a vehicle with trailer on the platform you get the front vehicle axle weight, the rear vehicle axle weight, the trailer axle(s) weight, and the total rig weight all at once. Thus with '2-passes' (3 if using a WDH) you get all the data needed to derive per-axle loading and tongue / pin loading in great detail.
Currently the cost at CAT Scales is ~$12~13 for the first weigh and ~$3~4 for each additional weigh within 24 hours. There's invariably parking lot space to allow one to temporarily 'drop' their trailer at the CAT Scale site for making passes with and without your trailer hitched during one visit.
Note that there is a "Weigh My Truck" smartphone app for use at CAT Scale sites which, though aimed at professional truckers is perfectly acceptable for non-professional use. That app makes weighing and multiple passes very quick and easy, providing your weight data and payment without ever having to directly interact with often busy the clerks / operators at the site.
Attached FYI is a 'worksheet' to assist in calculating various RV rig characteristics using CAT Scale data. I've got an Excel version of the worksheet which will do the calculations as you enter the data from your CAT Scale weigh tickets, PM me with your email address if you would like to receive a copy of that via email reply attachment.
Most of the other scales mentioned by Iowa Dave will be 'single platform' type, meaning that one must, with the cooperation of the scale operator, pull your vehicle partway on the platform to get a per-axle weight, then move the vehicle/rig to get other per-axle weights / total rig weight. You can certainly get all the same data as you would at a CAT Scale, just takes a bit more vehicle juggling and some different arithmetic.
Hope that helps, Have Fun!

Lots of good info thanks

I installed a Hepvo valve instead. Source for the larger sink?

The sink was from Amazon - Dayton D117191. Light weight but inexpensive.
As to the trap, I guess I'm still a bit old fashion. While the Hepvo would solve the fumes from the gray tank problem, I'm not sure it would fix the slow draining. I know the "P" trap works...

Jon is is the "slow drain" a sink problem or grey tank issue? My grey tank is a very slow drain. jn

Don't know, but the problem is gone. Draining the gray tank at a dump station is still slow; hasn't changed.

I installed tire/wheel covers and ordered an extra 3/4" ratchet for the B@l X Chocks to have a spare as I can not seem to find the original blue one? Tomorrow I'm going to get an extra set of keys made!

Thanks for the link.
Just filled up the sink to the top. Drained in 12 seconds. Nice sucking sound toward the end. Scary whirlpool effect.

Remove and replace rear window. The original window had lost its seal and was all fogged up.
Not too bad. Basic do-it-yourself skills and tools. Took a couple of hours (not including the obligatory trip to Home Depot for butyl tape). Replacement from Lippert (Hehr), made to order for 2010 17B. Took about 4 weeks.
(If anyone can use the old window for anything they are welcome to it. Don't really want to send it to the landfill.)

Did the mod to 2 of our frameless windows to open them wider. What a difference! Thank you Adventures in Nomadness Angie & Rhonda! We are going to do this mod to all the windows now. :-)

Sounds amazing, it would be really nice to be able to open the windows a bit more. Can you provide a link?
Thanks!

Tires wheels and brakes. The tires had mileage left but were 6 years old. Amazed at how the new rubber improved the feel of the tow. The original white wheels had rust so I had them blasted, primed and powder coated blue. Installed the new backing plate kit from etrailer complete with pads and magnet. I had to grind off one stud but otherwise was a simple swap. About 10 reps with the manual override at 30 mph and then 100 miles of regular driving and the self adjusting brakes were in tune.

Stripper pole paper towel holder. Slides apart for traveling and roll change. Works well but took about 24 hours to print. Not really that big of a deal. Just start it and do other things while it's printing. Model for those interested.

I can see that bracket being useful for all sorts of things.
I will have to print one.
Please let me know if you design anything else for Escapes.
Thanks

I just did the rear split window, and kitchen window on our 5.0. It's pretty amazing the difference, now the back window can open almost as much as the emergency window props open.
I just cut one plastic strip into two 4 1/2" pieces for the back windows and that left a 3" piece that I put in the kitchen window. I'll keep the two un-cut pieces so if we ever want it is easily reversible.
For now we are leaving the rear passenger side the way it is because we have the manual awning and I have almost broken that window putting the awning down without closing the window first. Since then I hang a tag on the awning release to remind me to close the window before closing the awning so we may go ahead and do it as well.

Yes, the manual awning is what prompted us to try the mod. We had to "fix" the windows on our awning side because we put the awning down with the windows cracked open. Eek!! We were fearful we had done permanent damage, but all it did was push the aluminum pieces out of their track. So while removing the windows to put the aluminum back in the tracks we decided to try the mod with the plastic strip. It worked wonderfully! And we will steal your idea to put a reminder tag about closing the windows. Live and learn.

I think with the mod you will be less likely to forget to close the window before folding awning up. easy to see a window thats open 6".

I have a check list that I refer to. It's laminated and hangs on a hook near the door.
