great!! Even though it's written into my signed off build sheet, I was not sure that they would be able to run the propane line. This confirmation from Joldie is great news!

I may yet get the stock cooktop since I could make a decent looking trim piece for $192.00 to fit the Dickinson. We’ll see. Once I get propane line questions answered, I’ll post more.

From the propane explosion thread by a forum member:

“Just spoke to a rep at Escape about my disinterest in the Suburban cooktop.

They are having an internal meeting next Wednesday to discuss cooktop options. I asked whether they were considering offering the Dickenson cooktop and was told that the Dickenson was on the agenda for discussion. I put in a word for also considering carrying the Dickenson range.

I suggested that perhaps it was time to offer cooking appliances that match the quality and performance of the trailer.”

We’ll see.

Sounds like their eyes are finally opening. I've been suggesting they offer the Dickinson for several years now.

Joldie verified current construction uses a flexible rubber propane line; so as long as you can keep it from chafing on the convection, and it’s long enough, that part should be resolved.

I just finished the install of my new Dickinson cooktop. What a great appliance and install went well!

Okay, Joldie said she quoted wrong. They will give me a $192 credit to leave out the cooktop, but run the propane line, so I just ordered the Dickinson. I have plenty of time since I won’t have the trailer until late fall.

We have a 19', and we are interested in the counter space that remains. Please post pictures.

Old thread, new post. Tried to PM Ksfisk about Dickinson install above the micro/convection oven and have not heard back, so I thought I would awaken this tread in case that helps. I’ll post my install when I get a trailer and can do it.

Sorry… Just responded to your message. Bottom line is I have not done the install yet. But it looks like it will be relatively easy to do. Going to attach some pictures of how ETI installed propane line for me

Thanks. Didn’t know the rules for PM. Some things you have to make “X” number of posts to do. Wasn’t sure if that was the case here. Thanks for the pics. I hope to do mine mid October.

Yes. In our 2019 E19, there is room to install the Dickinson 2-burner cooktop and the convection microwave. You must use the right-angle propane fitting and put the knobs on the right side.

Thanks, that’s the plan, and I PM’d Ksfisk. They have not done the install yet, but are still planning on it. I’ll create a thread on that when I do it in case it would help others.

For the benefit to those of us installing Dickenson stove top appliances (to replace existing Suburban stove tops) PLEASE provide photos of your respective installations if you can, and any steps/snags you've encountered.

Hoping to get our Dickenson stove top in early January for a winter project install. I just want to be well versed beforehand.

Do it right,
Do it once .

I’ll do some pics, but I’m not much of a photo / video person. I don’t normally take pics, and my phone is my only camera. I’m pretty much a music / audio guy. My install will not replace a stove. I have an uncut counter with a stovetop delete.

Documented our E19 Dickinson cooktop install here, with images. Send PM if you have other questions.

I just now placed an order with Stevenson Marine for the Dickenson drop in stovetop. Received an email confirming the order and 'pending'. I expect a delay but "pending' doesn't tell me much. I'll wait a few days and check on the delivery time.

Shipping was $122.00. total of $782.00.

Expensive but better than a fireball. Don't you hate it when that happens?

RangerMan: I hope this is quoted in Canadian.

Says "Available January 2022" but just wanted to provide another potential option if anyone needs it. This is where I got ours back in 2017...

Just received another email:

"Due to manufacturing delays at Dickinson the dropin stoves are not available till January 2022. As there are supply issues once this order is in production and would be considered non refundable and therefore we would need prepayment. Please let us know if you would like to proceed with this order."

I canceled. Don't like the sound of that non-refundable business. I'll try agina in Jan.
