Best paper towel holder / VHB it above stove.
Hi all
Best paper towel holder?
I would like to VHB tape it above stove
We omitted the range hood so there is a perfect spot there.
Under the cabinet above the stove.
I would prefer to not drill holes in the cabinet, so VHB tape, so it is there but removable.
Thanks.
Bonus points if it is available on Amazon.
John.

I don't have a name, but they are common. Check Bed Bath and Beyond. Mine has been held up with ordinary double-sided tape since 2008.
Before hitting the road, remove the paper towels or squeeze them so they are oval or they will unroll.

Kamenstein ratcheting towel holder. Awesome, and ratchet keeps it from unrolling when towing.

You can also get it at Wally if you don't want to wait.

I second the Kamenstein. Love the fact that you can tear off a towel with one hand. I mounted ours near the end of the cabinet by the door. Oftentimes I need a paper towel while outside and this way I don't have to enter the trailer to reach it.

Don't know about taping it on, think I'd use the screws on that one. One like Glen's with a bigger mounting base would hold better for tape.

Two things. I would not mount it directly above the stove, as it very would be a fire risk with the paper hanging down. I know you could watch it, but.....
VHB would be must more of a problem to ever remove than screws would be, as it would pull a huge chunk of the panelling off with it. Screw holes can be covered with tape to be almost unnoticeable.

What Glenn said. Works great and DO be sure to prevent them from unrolling while driving .

I use a SimpleHuman towel holder. Agree with not over stove & using screws. If you use Viva towels, they don't unroll in transit.

I use the same holder. I prefer Viva brand paper towels, which are soft & absorbent, and stick together enough so they don't unroll. If I use other brands, I put a rubber band around the towels before hauling the trailer (same for toilet paper).

Hi: All... We use an over the door PT Holder bought at The Container Store http://www.thecontainerstore.com in Tampa Florida. It uses kinetic energy to hold the PT on the roll. In the 5.0TA there's enough room above the door to accommodate the large rolls of "Quicker Picker Uppers"!!! I agree over the gas flame is not a good local either. Alf

We too use one that hooks over a cabinet door. It can be turned out if in the kitchen, or left in and the door opened to rip off a sheet. Always turned in for travel. Works good for us, and no unsightly roll out in the open when not needed. Kinda like storing garbage out of the way if possible.
Works for us anyway.

That is what we do as well. Works well for us.

I agree - VHB would be a poor choice.
But if you want to try a spot out before screwing it down, Command steps will do the job. They're easy to remove and don't cause damage. They're great for a lot of things, not just the hooks or whatever they come with. To get just the strips, buy refill packets.

We did just what Kevin suggested and got the SimpleHuman towel holder and mounted it just like he did by the door. Viva towels work great too.

I used the tape with the intention of adding the screws if I was satisfied with the location. Eight years later, I'm still making up my mind, so no screws yet.

We bought our Kamenstein Perfect Tear Wall Mount Paper Towel Holder at Bed Bath and Beyond.
https://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/1/1/43684-perfect-tear-chrome-wall-mount-paper-towel-holder.html
It's mounted vertically but kind of upside down with Command Velcro strips.
I overcame what I'm calling the the "vertical mount continuous unrolling problem" by adding a small bracket with a spring doorstop.
I meant to take it off before we traveled but forgot for our drive here (50 miles) and it stayed up, even with a full roll.

Thanks everyone for all the great suggestions.
And thanks for talking me out of VHB tape.
Good plan

Do you happen to have a direct link to the "over the door PT Holder bought at The Container Store"?'
I could not find it.
Thanks. :-)
