Well, I guess not then. I don't have a tower and I don't want to put one up. I guess I'll lower (literally) my ambitions re 160m.

Regarding the current project: I want to create a good antenna system for AM, FM, and TV, as I don't have cable and I don't have enough bandwidth to stream audio or video via the Web.

Before I moved home a former tenant had DirectTV run coax to every room in the house, via the outside. I dismantled all this, so now I have hundreds of feet of 75-ohm coax that I otherwise have no use for, as ham radio transmitters use 50-ohm cable. But I can use it for TV and commercial AM and FM reception. I currently use a King Jack powered antenna for TV and FM, and I will add the longwire antenna for AM. It might work.

$16. I had ordered the same from Amazon, around the same cost, but delivery was 6 weeks. Must be because they're busy shipping TP. Cancelled that order.

Tom,
They look great! My wife loves them.

In addition to the upper cabinets, I went nuts and installed them in all the door openings, drawers and the three outside hatch doors. Plus, I also installed LEDs behind the valances to create a soft lighting. A total of 31 locations.

My inspiration credit goes to Jim Bennett.

Did the same, led strips in upper cabinets, led lamps in lower cabinets. Found I could run a 12 volt line to the fuse panel along the DS wall behind the bathroom using fiberglass rod.
i am using micro switches on lower doors, upper led strips use a remote Good time to work on projects at home, since Code Enforcement hasn't been around.

Dang! I had ordered the longer one, but had to send it back, because it would not clear properly. This one did the trick. I hope they bring it back.

Obviously, none of this effort is necessary, and the cabinet lights are a PITA to get power to. But..."busy hands are happy hands", so it's said. I'm not big on TV and media, and do enjoy tinkering.

Also added reflectix sheets to the front window rock guard. I had some lying about, so why not? Awaiting a more robust battery disconnect switch to be delivered, and may be running out of things to do on the rig. I guess wheel bearing inspection may come up, given the length of time and severity of this pandemic and my need to putz.

bon voyage
Can you give me the details on the LED lights and where you bought them. I can build anything, but little electrical I need help with.

Details, details

All materials sourced from Amazon. If you can, try the non-waterproof version of LED strip. With waterproof, you need to remove some coating to acquire electrical contact. Either will work.

P.S.

The difficulty with the LED project is obtaining power to them. I tapped off of existing fixtures or wiring but that is a pain as the leads were short and often no room for wire nuts. I soldered and shrink tubing connections...necessary due to small spaces.

Here is the video. Not very professional, but hopefully, you will get the idea.
