I did exactly that - put a red led+resistor inside the bathroom light. It is not switched to keep it simple, so it runs anytime the trailer is powered (shuts off when the main switch under the table is OFF.) Because of the resistor it only uses about 10 milliamps so the drain is a fraction of the drain of the propane detector, for example. I attached it to the power wires inside the bathroom light with alligator clips so I can remove it without tools if necessary.
The lens comes off with a sliding movement, parallel to the floor/ceiling. Don't pry or pull down. Once the lens is off the screws are visible. I don't remember for sure but you may need to cut a wire at that point to remove the lamp assembly. Take a photo first!
And you are going to ask for photos, I bet. Next visit to the storage facility...
