We had a similar issue recently with our furnace on a cold night and have really only used it a handful of times. It would blow cold air for 30 seconds- 2 minutes and then shut off, no heat. We watched Reece’s video and then went to work. Sure enough, the sail switch had acquired a tiny piece of fluff wrapped round it. Put it back together and test ran it for several days before our next trip, have (knock on wood) had no issues since. However, we now bring a small electric heater and our little ones’ warmest winter pajamas just in case. Having a non-functioning furnace in near freezing temps was not fun.

Our furnace works just fine in the driveway, but reliably quits on the second day out.

didn't read this whole thread, but the OP's question? if, when its cold, and you turn on the furnance, the fan runs for a while but the furnace never sparks on (phwhump!), it is indeed probably the sail switch. mine had some polyester curls of thin threads kinda keeping it from working right. cleaned those out, and it worked great.

sequence is, thermostat says 'furnace on'. so the furnace starts its fan, waits a bit, then checks the 'sail switch' to ensure air is blowing, then turns on and sparks the gas, fwump!. if the sail switch never signals theres sufficient airflow, it will time out and shut down, and not even try again, unless you switch the thermostat off and on again.

to clean it you pretty much have to pull the furnace out, on my 2014 E21 Classic, its under the street side dinette bench, and you pull it out from inside. once its about half out, you can access the air 'sail' switch on the side of the furnace, remove it, and clean out any fluff you can see, ditto, vacuum out any dust and fibers you see around it and the whole area. if there's fibers stuck in the microswitch at the hinge of the sail plate, clean them out, and insure that switch works, and the sail flap moves smoothly in and out

this all is probably specific to some Atwood furnace modal they were using in 2014. I dunno. worked for me.

oh and ont he earlier trailers til some time later than 2014, getting the furnace exhaust pipe lined up sucks when you reinstall it. you pretty much have to drill out the rivets on the furnace exhaust port and remove it, then reinstall the furnace fro the inside, then put the exhaust port back on the pipe press it in, and reseal the exhuast flange against the trailer with Proflex or Lexel or whatever your favorite clear polyurethane sealant is. DO NOT USE SILICONE.

Sail switch issues have become more common. (Talk to any RV service Dept. that will level with you.)
There are several forum discussions here and elsewhere.
This is what we experienced on a great 21NE we picked up in December.
