Sweep likely helps. I've had to put the pin back in slider several times recently after rough roads, even though the screen door was in open position with the snap engaged.

Sounds like the plastic slider needs attention....

Sounds like the plastic slider needs attention. The retractable pin on the door slips into a space in the slider. If it isn't in the proper place, the door would sag and that slider should not fall...

Without that top track, you'll likely find the hinges broken and the door hanging askew.

I've never thought that I needed a latch to keep the door closed. When you close it, it stays that way....
