I was very impressed! This experience helped solidify my decision to order an Escape 19, which I did in Chilliwack this past May. My egg hatches in late November.

I planned to get back to the rally this year, but my employer scheduled a mandatory meeting the Saturday and Sunday of the rally. Really, the one weekend I had REALLY IMPORTANT PLANS!! I'm so disappointed, but am thinking of visiting the rally when I can, earlier on Friday, with a Friday evening departure.

I'm hoping that I'll have the opportunity to meet many of you again. You're a great group!

Mary
Many of us will arrive earlier in the week, and most of those will have read your post.
So come on around and visit any of us that you can during your limited time.
Everyone enjoys discussing the trailers. Obviously you would first go to the 19's that are there, but it seems that everyone has good ideas or perhaps a similar tow vehicle or any number of experiences that would be helpful.

Hi Mary,
I know a number of last year’s attendees will be arriving on Wednesday and staying thru the weekend. Feel free to “come on down”’ early and still get back for your all impotent meeting. The latch string is always out and the beer is always cold. We’ll feed you too.

I'm so glad to hear that people arrive early, so I won't need to miss the entire Rendezvous! I learned so much last year, and need to bump that up even more this year with pickup time in November.

Looking forward to seeing everyone in September, and the river is beautiful!

We are hoping to see a trailer with a dicor pedestal (or similar) table mod. Will there be any at the rally?

We have borrowed so many mod ideas from the forum and this is on the wish list.

Thanks Caren

Last year the campers across the road from us stayed two days as they had planned and then had to leave. Bill S went into another loop and alerted some new Escape owners and the camp host allowed them to move from their site to the main rally area so that’s a possibility that could come up too. ( As long as the site is not booked). At any rate, make sure you know you’re as welcome as dry weather at all the events. Looking forward to seeing you in late September.

Perseverance

Perseverance, It’s a virtue for sure. Hope your 15 will be open during trailer tours. I’m sure people would like to see it.

The 15A is the best bang for it's size of all the Escape trailers made.

I totally agree. Everyone told be to just buy a 17, but I wanted a 15. I am glad I waited. It’s a great trailer.

Thanks for the tip about a possible earlier completion date. I asked, and two weeks later Escape granted my wish. It was a whirlwind of an afternoon finalizing the last of my build sheet in a few short hours, but I was almost done anyway. My completion date was moved up three weeks, now officially squeaking in at the end of October. Can you hear my sigh of relief?

I was also able to be excused from attending that weekend meeting (double sigh) and booked a site (128) on the water with a beautiful view. Life is good, and I look forward to arriving on Thursday.

I look forward to seeing everyone, meeting lots of new friends, and learning tips and tricks.

Another whirlwind pickup and mad dash to make the rally....I remember it well. We left Chilliwack on Wednesday at 2 pm, slept on the road that night, stopped in Wyoming Thursday night and Friday am went to the store for food and fresh provisions and headed towards the Mississippi river. Made it to the rally on Saturday around lunchtime, missed the torque contest. This was in 2016 when the winner shamed all the burly men.

Contests

Hi Jim
The torque contest in currently based on technique and finesse because were only interested in torquing to 95 lbs. Burliness comes in when you’re torquing up around 250 Ft lbs. and above. We will be holding it again this year on Saturday afternoon. Everybody is welcome and encouraged to participate. It will again be based on finesse and accuracy and the prize will be a torque wrench to the winner. My 10 year old grandson can pull 95 ft. lbs. so nobody should feel intimidated.

As a newbie, it will be a while before I can do that kind of very professional whirlwind dash driving my future Escape.

And I'll be a spectator at this year's torque wrench contest.

But one day... I'll have it all down.
