In back of our SUV. If you have a p/up, things of course could be problematic. I suppose your could use one of those 3x3 shower tents

Pop up
Pop up personal shelters are pretty popular at gatherings with limited restroom facilities with porta potties and a hot water shower pump people are pretty comfortable.

However, enforcing by having people share health conditions would be a challenge plus admitting risk conditions - we don't feel vulnerable despite being seniors! Hoping to get back to our campground which already had a policy of cleaning bathrooms three times a day. I have often thought campers could play a role in cleaning.

Problem is that the underlying conditions ( according to the CDC) include things like asthma and smoking and obesity so that includes a lot of people.

This thread was supposed to be about parks opening, not the virus.

Our local large lake has opened to county residents only. It's pretty big, and we may take the kayaks up there on Tuesday. The weekend will be way too crowded and filled with all manner of crazy people. No camping as of yet

That's Right. The parks were not closed because of "virus." Virus? She doesn't do camping. Everybody knows they were closed because too many Covid-19's, a 19 foot Chinese stickie, hogging spots.
Wait. I meant Iris.

Great Sand Dunes NP reopening to camping mid-June (maybe)
We have had reservations for Pinon Flats campground beginning June 28th. It may be the GSDNP is reopening to camping by mid-June, says the website! This info is from their website: "Great Sand Dunes plans to reopen the Pinon Flats Campground and begin issuing backcountry permits for both the Park and Preserve in mid-June as part of Phase 2; however, Phase 2 is contingent upon successful implementation of Phase 1, sufficient staff capacity and supplies, and current local and state guidance." The Phase 1 reference is referring to reopening the NP on June 3 for day use. So, apparently so long as it goes OK with Phase 1, camping will be back on June15th.
