No RV service available -- Covid impact??
We've noticed huge increases in numbers of folks RV'ing since Covid is keeping people close / closer to "home". In the case of Vancouver Island, we're inundated with the once-snowbirds who can't travel to the US' warmer climates.
I've discovered an unexpected related issue to this RV-increase -- anybody that does RV repairs is run off their feet.
I'm trying to deal with an electrical/battery issue in my trailer, and am "electrically stupid", so I started phoning RV repair shops in our area. Anybody within 150 km of us are either booking appointments for August or even September, or are not even adding anyone to any wait lists. The dealers with attached service departments are only doing work on units they have sold themselves, and even that is being booked for 3 to 4 months in the future. Even the mobile RV techs are saying no to anything before late summer.
Sounds like being an RV tech would be a good business to be in these days!
