Yes, why not try it for each 6 volt battery? Maybe see if they are equally charged?

Jim not sure about the installation? With the Victron the battery ‘s wired together have to go through a Shunt from the negatives . I suppose I could but I just replaced the 6 volts with new batteries Interstate because was happy with them . I got 6 years 1 month from the originals . I can always check with my Ohm meter too . Not great with electrical Jim . Pat

I like to have a voltmeter that's visible from the doorway. Maybe that's because I like to have my solar panels track the sun.

I used to do the same in our camper, pre escape. A big red led one with digits about 2.5 tall. I had to have an off-on switch on it because it had a noticeable draw on the batteries.
I figured out that if I put a long bolt thru the upper frame of the solar panel sticking straight out the front of the panel, I could always have the panel set in the optimum position if I moved the panel until the bolt cast no shadow.
That was refined to a 1/4 inch guitar type jack and a 1/4 inch plug so that it was easier to remove and place the panel flat.

Yup, that time of year for yard cleanup chores. I should be pressure washing the stamped concrete patio by the fish pond. But lets see, a choice between a chore and a mod, hmm, hard choice.
Started the underbed storage project. Learned that all black milk crates aren't created equally. One style seemed perfect, even had post and holes on the ends so they almost held themselves together. But just a little bit too wide to work without further structural mods.
The next seemed just fine. Put down two side-by-side to zap strap them together and discovered that the tops were small then the bottoms. Pull them together times four and I'd have ended up with a banana. I could have used a spacer at the top but tried the HD ones that look the same but sides are vertical so third time lucky.
Made the door opening and the threshold. It also protects the water pipes and my heater wires.
Glad we don't have snow in the forecast, just a little rain. Don't have to shovel it.

Any big box hardware store carries them. Shoot, so does Target. They're called milk crates because that's what they look like, not because that's what they are...

Honestly, I should be offended that you'd think that I'd "borrowed" all those black milk crates.
Of course I didn't use any of my yellow or green crates because the colors not suitable.

Yes, actual milk crates are the property of the dairies which use them, and taking them is clearly theft... and obviously would be even without the printed warning. That's what people used to do, but most people buy similar crates now. Of course, I'm sure some people probably still steal them.

Railroad track plates too. I save all paper 6 pack cartons from gourmet root beer and load them up with water or soda so the bottles don’t squeak while I’m on the road. Light plastic milk crates are one thing my kids left behind at the house from college years that I can use.

I have two of these attached to the cargo carrier on the back of my 21'. I carry wood pieces, chocks, etc. They are of good quality, but not as strong as the original "milk crates" we used to "borrow" from grocery stores.

Well, today I hadn't planned on doing anything for our Escape...but the weather gods apparently have other plans. It's in a storage yard 30 minutes away and we are looking forward to heading down to the Gulf coast for the Matagorda Madness rally in a few weeks. It's November in Austin, so other than draining the fresh and hot water tanks I didn't do anything else before taking it to storage.
Now we are getting hit with an unusual early season Arctic blast and it is supposed to be well down into the 20's for a good while tonight. Last night was around freezing and only in the 40's today, so I expect it will cool off quickly inside the trailer tonight and I don't want to take a chance on a plumbing fixture or fitting cracking. So today I will be taking my air compressor over to the trailer to blow out all the water lines. Not supposed to have to fool with this stuff in November in Texas!

Washed and waxed the 5.0. The roof was looking pretty bad with black spots everywhere causing black streaks with recent rains. The awning track still has black crud in the unfilled holes. The plan is to plug those up if I can figure out how to clean out the crud.

My dad did home delivery for a dairy in Omaha before we moved to calif in 64, and then worked for Carnation dairy in LA until they stopped home service. and we still have some metal crates from NE and beefy red ones from LA.
I used the target ones and used twist ties (gear tie brand) to link them. That way I could pack them in the house and just move them to the trailer.

After guessing at the oven temperature in our oven, I decided to order this digital thermometer. Tom (tdf-texas) and I discussed it at Quartzsite back in February, 2019. I ordered it but never used it.
It takes all the guess work out of using the oven!
