Yes, John. Now that I have them in hand, I can see that leaving them on wouldn't hamper my sleep. Thanks!

Is there any reason not to ask the factory to do this? I don't know what it looks like cause mine is just about to be built.

Factory options are not normally keen on custom model changes, normally an option is not model specific, like opening additional hidden storage in the 5.0

Why do you say that- especially given there is a much more customer focused management team now? I always say it doesn't hurt to ask!

What did I do on my Escape today? Looked at it muttered various versions of "I hate snow". 10 days till I leave for Q'site and I still have to install my front and rear exterior lights. Not today but at least I have access to it dug out. Hope we don't get freezing rain until I can get the snow on top off.

Freezing rain predicted for tonight and hurricane strength winds 110 kph. Then more rain on the weekend, threatening outbuildings because of snowload.

Didn’t do anything to Escape today but working on the old girl , alias truck . Windshield wipers not really working very well during previous rain so . First changed out the wiper combination switch on column . Not fixed ,so changed out the wiper motor , not fixed . Then changed the expensive part , the governor . Yay the wipers are now working ! Only took 2 days , never did this before and the motor was the worst , having to remove a lot on the front of truck .Have 2 Ford books and watched lots of utube videos . The books were invaluable information . The utube videos not so much . Besides not following instructions , they leave steps out . So I got it figured out . Next time if need be I now know how and it should go faster . Now maybe some other mod for the trailer next time . Would be a lot easier ! Pat

And those were the good ones. Honestly I wish youtube videos could be rated so that the ones that border on garbage wouldn't be there to mislead folks.
More snow shoveling and it looked like more was on the way but then it cleared, the sun came out and I managed to get the bracket and front exterior lights installed.

I also renewed my truck insurance today. That was more painful than shoveling snow.

Moving snow with the tractor and even the 2 Stage blower is a lot less painful for me than the pain in my rotor cuff and arthritic fingers pulling my wallet out of my back pocket at the county treasurers office. She frowns when I pay my taxes and tell her the money is so I can live in my house for another year.

Ugh, removing snow from the trailer cover in the pouring cold rain.
I don't think that we're going to get more snow or freezing temperatures before we leave but I ignored this same situation a few years ago and there was a sudden cold snap. So there I was wacking hard on the ice and snow to break it up and get it off the roof. Unfortunately the ice over the hatch wasn't as thick and it came out second best.

Thanks, all done and not harm. Yesterday the driveway was a sheet of ice so I went out and started spreading salt so it would be safe for the postie and newspaper person. Next thing I know, wham, I'm breaking my fall with my hand. Lucky, just a bruised ego.

Ron,
Rather than using a broom on your Escape I have found good luck using a "snow broom" which does not damage anything... https://www.amazon.com/Snow-Joe-SJBL...NsaWNrPXRydWU=
I use one on the Escape and house awning to remove snow that accumulates.
