Some of the square leveling blocks for the 5.0TA front jacks are handy too. Sometimes you need more lift on a sloped campsite. They also reduce the amount of time you spend running the jacks up and down (and perhaps wear and tear too).

We have the Anderson levelers and like them. So far the only time we've had a problem with them sliding is on a very smooth garage floor.

oh yeah. I run a big pile of these under my nose jack so I don't need to run it down nearly as far.

Umm, why would one need them on a hard surface that is already level?

Doesn't everyone also carry a trailer aid in addition to their leveling blocks? That is what I'd use for adjusting brakes or changing a tire, not levelers, Andersen or whatever....

No, not everyone. First of all, totally useless with a single axle trailer! And the trailer aid does not provide enough lift on early 5.0TAs that have leaf springs rather than torsion axles. Some of us rely on time tested lifting methods, namely a Jack.

I use wheel chocks (Camco 44414) on the side without the boards and a wheel stop (Camco 44652, see attached picture) on the side with the boards.
P.S. We don't use the corner stabilizers for short stays and the wheel stop eliminates the slight rocking that we had with just chocks.

4X6's about eight inches long. I am a big believer in chocking both wheels on each axle. This keeps me from pushing the 5.0 TA trailer when I hook it up. People have learned the hard way that if they miss the pin a bit that they can shove the 5th wheeler off the blocks and drop the whole works onto the truck bed rails. When I am on level ground I chock both sides of at least two tires.

The Andersen levelers are great. I bought the Beech Lane Camper Leveler 2 Pack with Carrying Bag because it was cheaper and black in color.

Had a Trailer Aid, and it works well for lifting one wheel off the ground, but that's about it. Besides, it uses a larger footprint for storage.
Andersen makes the Rapid Jack that we use as a leveler when things get tough. The Rapid Jack works just as well for lifting the second wheel off the ground as the Trailer Aid, and doubles as a great leveler, so there's one less item to carry.

I have been using these leveler from day 1 with our 50TA. Love them. Carried around a set of the leggo type left over from our B class, for over a year . Never used them once. I shortened 1 by 1.5” or so and never had an issue with them getting stuck. I never try to back up onto them, always pull forward until bubble is level and stop. There is no need to go further, just wedge the small part under back of tire if it won’t reach the other part. I always use standard wheel chocks on opposite side. I carry a 12”x 48” piece of thin rubber to put down under wedges in case they slide, which may happen on an asphalt drive or gravel. I have never had it happen yet so never actually used the rubber. My wife is usually the one putting them in place and directing me when to stop and she has never gotten one stuck. They work great, don’t see any downsides.

The trailer-aid actually works, we had a flat back in 2015 and used it, thankfully only once in 8 years of carrying it.

I do. Used it once on my horse trailer when a tire went flat. Didn’t even have to remove the horse!
