We had 26 below this morning but it was sunny so it wasn't too bad.
Tonight we'll have a gathering of neighbors and family out on the lake with a campfire , fireworks , hot cocoa and Tom & Jerry's.

Happy New Years to All! !!

I’ve thought about adding foam board under the bed, but wondered if it is really necessary since one does have an 8 inch mattress and under the bed is not directly exposed to the outside. I did run foam panels down the driver side framing to seal off the power cord and water pump compartments. Doesn't seem to be a big heat loss issue? One would lose some height underneath and my Baby Weber just fits, so that was one final reason for not doing so.
I'm thinking of adding some insulation on the bed topside, we had ice on the walls around the bed and dinette at 5 degrees outside and 60 inside. Still researching best solution.

At those temps, any idea what the temp was under the bed? If u had ice on the walls, I’m assuming below freezing? 5 degrees is a bit Frosty...!

Is there room for an inch or 2 of Rigid foam insulation? You could remove it when not needed. FWIW, the 5.0TA has sub floor insulation in the loft area, between that and the carpeting I get no under bed condensation, at least I haven't found any.

Last dumb question, yours is the standard dinette not the highfalutin fancy one right? Just making sure I order the right amount.

I never thought of putting any under the bed. I did line the front rock guard with some of this.

If anybody wants hypervent which appears to be a similar drainage material as this here is a link for $9.59 a foot plus shipping which would have been $13.50 for me
https://www.defender.com/product3.js...186&id=1818021
So I saved $15.09 buying either the same or a similar item. That's all hypervent really is drainage material cut into smaller portions so you do not have to buy the whole roll.
Odd that we both were looking for something for under the mattress at the same time. I was close to buying the one from Defender Marine and went back onto the forum to make sure I was selecting the right item., And saw yours which by thickness, and description and picture appear to be the same. So I ended up saving a bit.
Thanks Jim.

The weather is turning fall nice here this week, around freezing for the highs. So I went and picked up my trailer from the welding shop so I could get some work done on it.

Had to dig it out to get to it. Speed along the way to pick up supplies and took this shot. Lots of snow blew off, but still more to get rid of. A trip south should help with that.

Your picture looks like something out of a travel brochure.
That would be a great shot for ETI's website.

The photo is a little dark with the morning sun just coming up behind it.
