I'm right there with you Glenn I'm still using the original hose on my 2015 17B. It has served me well and I have no complaints.

Can't speak for others, but my original hose from Escape had a goofy ill-fitting connection on the trailer end, and no fitting at all on the into-the-ground-pipe end - just the raw end of the hose. Kinda hard to secure into the in-the-ground sewer pipe with any feeling of seal integrity. And this is one of those cases when one really wants a good strong feeling of seal integrity....

I've just been placing a rock on the hose, or if at a sani-dump closing the dump cover on it to hold it in place. i didn't know I had to buy something for that purpose.

We stayed at an RV park in Benson AZ for two nights, not only did you have to have proper fitting end to secure to the sewer but I had to go out to Walmart to buy a hose support. Fortunately I found a nice aluminium one which I rarely use but is always there in the hatch where the switches for landing gear are. We have the Rhino.
I like having the clear elbow. I find our grey dumps so slowly that it's great to be able to see it stop flowing, I don't think I could feel any vibration.

We have stayed in 2 different campgrounds that REQUIRE one of those spongy foam rubber tapered cone wedge things that fits between the end of the hose and the in-the-ground pipe. Fortunately, we always keep one in a 1 gal. ziplock bag for such festive occasions.
The county fairgrounds campground in Bend, OR, REQUIRES that all RV's/trailers use only the factory-supplied electrical hook-up cable. And they appear to enforce it too. For us, they actually came for an inspection after we were all hooked up and had a set-up checklist that they went through!

I guess that's why I avoid commercial campgrounds. Usually camp in Forest Service sites, right on the lake.

I replace the OE hose on the way home from pickup...it had a small pin hole after one or two uses. I do like the clear elbow.

I've been to a bunch of places that require you have a hose support so its not on the ground, but not yet found one I can't use the standard Rhino 'sleeve' with...
how do they know whats the factory supplied power cord??

Just making sure I understand this. If the power cord that came with your Escape goes bad or gets stolen they won’t let you hook up to power with a replacement you can buy at Wally World lol or camping world

Oh yah, I'll take a Forest Service site over any commercial campground.

I'll take a really wild guess and say it probably means that they don't want rinky dinky extension cords. I'm guessing that any commercial 30 amp RV cord would be acceptable.

I've been all over much of the western states, but have never been to Florida. Some day......
I too much prefer Forestry, Provincial or State Campgrounds to those with full hookups, the swimming pool types. I prefer to swim in lakes, oceans or rivers.

Great for you.. but lots of Canadians prefer warm weather of our state... Not complaining , just stating facts... Our warm weather of winter is not for everyone...

Those Canadians are mostly Eastern Canadian types. For us on the West Coast, we normally have to fly to Toronto, almost 5 hours and then South. We can be in Hawaii or Socal by then. We've been to FL many times, mainly because Miami is such a hub for cruise ships.
