got boosted the week they first offered them, which was about 6 months after I'd gotten my 2nd pfizer shot.

from what all I've culled from my readings... The 'natural' immunity from having gotten Alpha or Delta may leave you protected against getting the *same* Alpha or Delta again, but has very little immunity against other strains such as Omicron. The pfizer poke w/ booster gives you some resistance to Omicron but not quite as effective as it was against prior variants, the Modena poke may be a bit better, but either of them will greatly lessen the severity of the symptoms

now, this is just my interpretation of what I have read, YMMV.

We just got all the stuff we need in the house for a while so we will be not going out needlessly for the next two or three months.

We both have appointments for our 3rd shot before the end of the year which was as soon as they allowed us.

I will be building my daughter a Square Drop camping trailer (yes that is a growing segment of the camping world) so she has something better than a tent to camp in. That will make time fly until it is time for us to hit the road.

We're vaxxed, boosted, shingled, and flued. Add pneumonia jab 1&2, annual physical, (including "digital" prostate exam), & I can't wait to transfer my memories and consciousness into a mechanical body. All these shots and checkups leave changing the oil and checking shoe pressure on an Android every 50k miles looking better and better. Extended warranty, anyone?

Just read that the US Army has come up with a vaccine that supposedly will address all current and future variants.

Got shot 1and 2 of pfizer and am still required to wearing a mask like everyone else no matter how many shots we have. That is, it for me, I'm not a pin cushion! Oh, I also have developed peripheral neuropathy in right arm after 2nd shot!

If you think the needle is bad, wait until you're being intubated.

did you read that article? he's saying instead of getting boosters, we should be giving the vaccines to third world countries who don't have enough for the main shots, never mind boosters.

Hard to believe anything that’s put out there anymore, too much political agenda mixed in with whatever the truth really is.

Some states are still doing some sort of dog like crate training on the people. The county across the river from me has handled things in the same way as Florida.

People have been going about their business for quite some time now, almost as things were before covid, eating indoors, no mask. It’s really nice to not have been in a lockdown state, it wouldn’t bother me if it actually worked to lock down.

The experts said stay indoors, don’t wear a mask, put covid patients in nursing homes, but still the experts want to be believed like none of this ever happened. It’s ok to protest, attend sports arenas, but schools have not been fully opened up. There has never been any consistency in any of this.

Hopefully some good things come out of this, like people could continue to keep their distance. Mask on planes, people thinking about their weight, better personal hygiene, how about banning cigarettes.

All I know is what my Cleveland Clinic doc told me, he works in the ICU. 95 percent covid patients percent are unvaccinated . That's good enough information for me.

It isn't common knowledge, but the Army has one of the most sophisticated research facilities on the planet at Ft Detrick.

It's primary purpose for years was development of defensive (offensive to, I suspect) measures against CBR warfare.

No idea what they have been cooking up there lately, but you can bet you wouldn't want to get any on you!

If a germ/virus whatever exists, I will bet, they got it there.

Being from Maryland, it was common knowledge not to get off the expressway near Frederick because of the 'unknown' rumors circulating as to what happens there.

Yes, busy hands are happy hands.

What plans or design or you using for the square drop rig? I'm just curious, and not intending to build one.

BUILD ON!

That sounds like a great and fun project, Ed. Would love to do it and look forward to seeing your results.

Me, I'm going to finish the new detached garage in building, then go hard on a while house reno, complete with landscaping of our forever home. [emoji16]

No attempt was ever made to dispel those rumors. Same for Dugway in Utah. Very nasty stuff at Dugway. Had I ever been ordered to participate in exercise there, I would have flatly refused.

We're talking some time ago.

square tear drops

Our son took the quick way, he ordered it from Hiker, in Denver area and picked it up a few months later. It is 6X10 I believe, has a queen size mattress that folds into a couch. The idea is that it is one step up from a tent and he can tow it behind his inherited 32 Ford roadster when the tour trip takes him to San Diego next time instead of the tent. He really likes his Hiker.
