Thanks for the source info .... some don't care for SS and square-cornered sinks but I'm in the camp that does and had been struggling to find one with that footprint and depth (many deeper / too deep IMO, I happen to like the one you've found)

The vertical cutout dimension for the Caribbean is greater than the vertical cutout dimension for the ETI range with oven. ETI's cabinet framing is 'optimized' for the range with oven that they install in order to provide the largest possible cabinet opening below that unit.

That means that for ETI to accommodate the Caribbean they would have to alter the cabinet framing, reducing the height of the cabinet opening below the oven, and then reduce the height of the door to fit that opening (I could be wrong but I believe I've read that ETI outsources fabrication of all their cabinet doors, which would add to the logistical complication of the required alteration).

That's simply more customization than ETI wants to undertake in their production process, which is certainly their prerogative; ETI builds trailers 'customized within limits', not totally 'bespoke' trailers. That's the level of substantial cabinet customization these folks are undertaking when they DIY the Caribbean installation .

IF one were to set the Caribbean on the bottom of the cutout that ETI's standard cabinet framing can accommodate, it would project above the countertop rather than sit 'flush' as intended (i.e. "too high") .

The sink is an undermount. I am going to mount it as shown. There are no fastening methods on the lip. I think plumbers putty, silicone, or both will hold it down. I am a couple weeks away from counter installation, especially since I do not even have the wood.

Going to the Hardwood store this week. I am thinking quarter sawn white oak.

I tried that location. Not enough room between sink and side of cabinet. Also the support pole would conflict with it. I would have to loose width in the center(drawer bay) to slide the sink over, loosing counter space also. This rebuild started because of lack of drawer space. The faucet is mounted in the drawer bay as far back as possible.

Don't know if this would be an issue for you or not, but white oak weighs approximately 4 lbs per board foot . . . probably a heavier, denser wood than typically is used in lightweight applications.

The first pic is an install using a Hepvo and routing the piping to the back.

Doing the same install on your sink would gain some space under the sink (trap is gone) and help with drainage.

I did my sink like yours but again with a Hepvo - also drains better and more space.

Just curious, why not the Hepvo in the vertical stack, run whatever least-obtrusive 'horizontal' (minimally-sloped) route you want from the sink to there?

But yes, it looks like the Torva sink strainer / drain assembly is somewhat deeper (below the bowl) than many.

It doesn't have to be there. It can be vertical, where the gray pipe is. Use a 45 off the bottom of the sink, straight pipe over to the wall (straight over, not angled over to the gray pipe), another 45 and straight pipe over to the gray pipe, 45 down to the gray pipe and then the Hepvo. Make sense?
